Why people join our team for UV print rooms
We are based in Epping, Cape Town and support customers across South Africa, from Cape Town and Bellville through to Johannesburg, Durban, Pretoria and Gqeberha. That means the work is varied, fast paced and tied to real production needs, whether a client is running a flatbed printer in a signage shop or managing roll-to-roll output for packaging and display work.
People who do well here are practical, organised and comfortable speaking with customers about printer compatibility, curing, adhesion and production timing. You do not need to know everything on day one, but you do need a steady approach, a willingness to learn and respect for safety procedures. We work with UV-curable inks, so following the safety data sheet and wearing gloves is part of the job.
Lab and sales roles
We hire for a range of roles across sales, operations, technical support and logistics. Some people work directly with customers on ink selection and order follow-up, while others focus on stock control, packing, courier coordination or technical guidance for printer settings and curing checks.
- Sales and customer support for trade enquiries and repeat orders
- Technical support for printer compatibility, adhesion testing and curing guidance
- Operations and stock handling for sample packs, production planning and dispatch
- Logistics and courier coordination for local and national deliveries
- Training and product education for operators and production teams
What a day in the business can look like
A normal day can include checking stock levels, preparing sample packs, confirming delivery details, answering questions about ink choice, and supporting customers who need help matching inks to substrates.
Because many of our clients print for signage, graphics and packaging, attention to detail matters. A missed setting can affect curing or adhesion, so we value people who notice small things and communicate clearly. It is not about guessing, it is about making sure the customer gets practical information they can use right away.
How we work together
Our team is made up of people with different strengths, and that matters. Michael van Wyk leads the business, while Lindiwe Maseko, Hennie Opperman, Shanaaz Allie, Moagi Shirinda, Nadine Motaung and Thabo Steyn each support different parts of the day to day work. That mix helps us respond properly when customers need advice, courier updates or follow-up on a technical question.
- Clear communication with customers and teammates
- Careful handling of stock and packaging
- Respect for safety rules and clean work practices
- Willingness to learn product details and printer basics
- Good timekeeping and reliable follow through
What matters in a UV ink environment
Working with UV-curable inks means understanding that quality is linked to process. Ink selection, substrate type, curing method and printer compatibility all affect the final result. In a coastal city like Cape Town, humidity can also influence handling and output, while inland customers may face different temperature and power conditions. These are the practical realities we deal with every week.
We expect team members to work safely and keep the customer informed. That includes reading the safety data sheet, wearing gloves when handling product, and asking questions when something is unclear. A careful approach prevents errors and keeps production moving, which is important for customers who cannot afford reprints.
